Update on Moraine Lk Rd

Conditions are still good. The tracks seemed a bit icier in places, but  where you require more grip it’s simple and easy to just ski in the skating lane for a while.  There were many new tracks in the skating lane, so I know there were a lot of skate skiers out today.

To reiterate yesterday’s report, the tracks are a bit thin for the first 2.6K but the skating lane is good the entire distance. There’s snow in the forecast for Thursday and Friday which would freshen up the trail for the weekend.
National Ski Team member Perianne Jones and a number of support staff were out today(see above photo).
John the groomer left the following comment regarding 1A Hwy(aka Great Divide):
“the worst heaves on the #1a are the culverts, I hear there might be enough snow on it, I may cut some brush there tomorow and see.”
