Can anyone help Chris?

Received this email from Chris a few minutes ago:

“Hey Bob.
Great site!
Hard to get up to date trail info for K country these days.
Can you post something asking for conditions in plpp these past two days?
Want to head out tomorrow but not sure how things are…”

I haven’t been out lately, but can tell you that we received about 8-10 cm in Canmore yesterday. I hope to get out later today, probably check some Banff trails. If anyone has been into PLPP, please leave a comment. -Bob

Update: The PLPP trail report was updated today and shows some grooming and tracksetting occurred on Nov 30. It also reports 12 cm of new snow overnight. Thanks for the comments today.

  1. The Norseman Ski Club did Elk Pass/Hydroline today 2 Dec. Lots of new snow, not yet trackset but very good conditions otherwise. Very chilly so wear your woolies/face protection!

  2. Last Sunday I went from Bolton Creek to Elkpass to Trywhitt returning on Whiskey Jack. A little icy on Bolton but the rest of the trails were great. No damage to my new Fischers.

    Bob, thanks for this website.

  3. I was out at Elk Pass on Sunday and the conditions were excellent. Lower down it was a bit scraped due to it being a popular trail, but higher up there was lots of snow. Blueberry Hill looked good too although I didn’t head up there. Other trails in the area looked really rough (i.e., from Pocaterra Hut or the PLPP Visitor Centre). Hope this helps.
