Rob, thanks for the update. We didn’t ski today, but I can assure you that we weren’t shopping! Not sure where, but I expect we’ll ski somewhere tomorrow. -Bob

    “Hi Bob,
I was at the Ribbon Creek trails on Dec 24 and found the conditions to be ideal on the upper trails. The Ribbon Creek-Nakiska area got 10 cm of fresh, light snow overnight and we arrived to find blue skies and a temperature of -8C. The High Level – Sunburst Lookout Loop was in great shape, with a silky soft layer of new snow on perfectly set tracks from a few days past. The run back down Sunburst was so much fun, we went back up and did it again!

This is the perfect destination for the short days of the holiday break.
It’s a short drive, the trails are well groomed and fun, there’s plenty of snow, the scenery is great and the trails are in the sun for most of the day.”

  4. I have to agree with Rob, great photos and a great website. Holy cow what a great picture of the cougar tracks. As I was looking that the picture I could just picture skiing between a mamma and baby cougar..only in my wildest dreams.Merry Xmas and happy skiing to all.

  5. Hi Bob,
We skied the 42 km cookie race course today. Sorry no pictures, traveled light. Trail was machine tracked from Pocaterra hut to the base of Whiskyjack. Sadly, from there on it’s only skier tracked with loose snow on top. The last bit of Pocaterra at Lynx back to the hut was machine tracked.
    Christmas eve
