Snow at Canmore Nordic Centre
Canmore Nordic Centre staff are preparing to unveil “Frozen Thunder”
Frozen Thunder is a stockpile of snow that has been stored over the summer months for just this purpose. It will be trucked from its storage location onto an approximately 1 km loop that runs into the Biathlon Range.
The 1 km loop will avoid most of the mountain bike trails so excellent mountain biking will still be available.
(Thanks to Alf Skrastins for alerting me to the above info from the CNC.)
“Kudos to the CNC management and staff for showing a real enthusiasm for skiing and for getting a jump on the season! PS I did a ski day last month on the Goat Glacier in the Spray Valley. That completes 9 years in a row of skiing at least one day each month!”
Congrats to Alf for 108 straight months of skiing!
