I took a quick ski around the Canmore Nordic Centre this morning and was pleasantly surprised. A number of improvements have occurred since the last time I was there. Frozen Thunder has been renovated, and added to. Some of the “connections” have now been filled in with new snow, and you can do a complete loop of 2K without retracing any steps.
I used my waxless skis, but some sticky hard wax would likely have worked. Expect to see some more track being opened soon, as there were deep piles of new snow and 12 snow guns blasting away within eyeshot of the daylodge.
