Today’s Banff National Park trail report for Lake Louise:
Current storm snow total, as of mid-morning, November 23: close to 40 cm. 10 – 15 cm of snow forecast to fall during the rest of the day. RECENT GROOMING: All recent grooming currently buried by fresh snow.
That should bode well for opening more trails at LL. Tracksetter John and his crew will be working overtime for a couple days.
In Canmore, we’ve received at least 12 cm of heavy, wet snow. I may not make it to the office today.
Someone already commented on the video which I just posted:
“Love the vid of racing down Moraine Lake Rd. Hmmmm did I see Cheryl with Fischers on? Super fast:)”
Here’s the vid racing down Moraine Lake road.
Here’s a great image from Parks Canada of a very rare sighting.
