Advice for Kris

I will have an update for you later on tonight. In the mean time, Kris is wondering…

Hi Bob,

I am looking for a good place to ski with young kids tomorrow. We were thinking about Peter Lougheed, or Bragg Creek. I have heard snow in Canmore isn’t great…

Any thoughts?

If it’s not raining in Peter Lougheed, I’d say Pocaterra is your best bet with kids. Does anyone know if it rained in PLPP today? I don’t think West Bragg is an option right now. It rained all day in Canmore, so the trails won’t be in any shape for kids. The only certainty is Lake Louise. I know, because I was there today and it’s still in good shape.

I see that some grooming and tracksetting was completed in PLPP yesterday. When I looked at the webcam today at noon, it said +8.

If anyone can offer anything else, please leave a comment.

  1. I skied the south end of PLPP today (Moraine, Fox Creek, Elk Pass) and the trails were very slick with lots of debris on the trails (branches, pine needles). There was ice rain falling around 2:00 pm at the south end and as we drove home it changed to rain around Pocaterra. Snow is melting fast, might not be a good idea to take the kids out in these conditions. Hope this helps.

That’s good to know, thanks. Bob
