Good skiing on Moraine Lake Road

You’ve probably already seen Chuck’s report and photos, but I’ll post a few more pictures which will let you see the snow conditions we encountered on Moraine Lake road.  The trail is packed but not trackset. It’s 9k to the end of the grooming, so 18k round trip. With Chuck’s trip report being on here already, I don’t have to do much, so we’re going out for dinner(thanks, Chuck, and your photos are great).

If you’ve never skied on MLR, here’s a video that will give you a little taste of what to expect: XC skiing on Moraine Lake road

Happy skiers on Moraine Lake road

Occasionally your pole tips may touch pavement, but it was pretty nice for Oct 26!

Just as we were starting out, Jeanette and Chuck were finishing their ski. You can read Chuck’s report on today’s ski trip on the Trip reports.

Dinner at Three Sisters Bistro was delicious

The best pie I’ve ever tasted is Anthony’s lemon pie. Skiing every day allows you to partake in life’s other pleasures.

  1. Hi Bob-
Nice to see Cheryl is back on her skis. Look forward to running into you (not literally I hope) on Moraine Lake Road soon. I have set my wish-o-meter on skiing in PLPP by the end of November. I hung the snow charm at the cabin last weekend, so it should start to do it’s magic soon!
    Happy skiing:)
    Georgina
