At 4 pm it was raining in Lake Louise village, but thankfully at the elevation of Moraine Lake road it was snowing. It would have been another difficult wax day, but we were using the zero skis with great success. On today’s moist snow, the grip was perfect and I didn’t slip even once.
The forecast is calling for lots of snow over the next three days in Lake Louise, but unfortunately it’s also predicting some very warm temperatures by the weekend. The Great Divide(1A Hwy) may get packed tomorrow.
