Ribbon creek/Kananaskis village is trackset

Looking for some good tracks and fun trails to ski tomorrow? Tracksetter Jeff sent this report:

Tracksetter Jeff

“Here’s an update from Ribbon Creek area. 5cm to 8 cm on the lower trails, just enough to trackset Ribbon Creek trail to the end. The Village trails recieved about 13 cm and were all trackset today.”

If you’re wondering, the village trails would include Terrace, Kovach,  Aspen and all the associated links. I’m not sure if it would include Troll falls, Hay meadow, Hidden and Ruthie’s. It could be a perfect day on the trails, as there’s no snow in the forecast, with a low tonight of -8°C, and a high tomorrow of -2°C.

Great news from the Canmore Nordic Centre

From the sounds of the Trip Reports, it would appear the CNC natural snow trails are in pretty nice shape. Kevin said, “The Bow Trail to Meadowview was ‘rolled’ with not a bare spot on the whole loop.” Robin has let the secret out: “So far it seems that the grooming on Meadow, Rundle, Bow and Banff trail has been a well kept secret…”

To be fair, the nordic centre updated their trail report late today, and the following natural snow trails have all been trackset: Banff, Bow, Meadowview, and Coyote. Rundle and Silvertip were roller packed.
