One of my favourite hiking destinations in the summer is the Three Sisters Market and Bistro. I can head out my back door with Tessa via the Highline trailwhere we eventually exit the forest at Three sisters creek and finally end up at the Bistro where I can indulge in a piece of Anthony’s mouth-watering lemon pie. (I’m not sure if the easy 90-minute hike burns off the equivalent number of calories).
The June flooding has made some drastic changes to the landscape along the creek as you can see in the photos. It’s now back to a small trickle of water, but the grim evidence of its one-day rampage is plain to see.
The creek runs through the Three sisters golf course(the course which has never seen a golfer). A bridge was constructed for the cart path but it’s now another one of those bridges to nowhere since the bank was washed away at one end.
