Trails are being widened at nipika
Skiing at Nipika Mountain Resort will be even more enjoyable this winter with wider trails. I received this email from Lyle Wilson, the manager:
We have some great news re. Nipika/ Cross River Canyon Trails. Nipika Mountain Resort and the Toby Creek Nordic Ski Club in Invermere have become partners in a new Bombardier 275 grooming machine, to be on the snow by December 2013. All 50 kms of the trail system are being widened for the new machine.
This will bring our already high standard of grooming to an all new level! Nipika has 50 kms of trails, all groomed for both Classic & Skate skiing.
Nipika is pet-friendly
Approximately 30% of the trails are novice terrain, 40 % intermediate, and 30% advanced skiing. The trails follow the Kootenay & Cross River valleys, creating one of the most spectacularly scenic trail networks anywhere.
Nipika Mountain Resort provides full nordic center services, ski, snowshoe & chariot rentals, an extensive ski school program, waxing facilities, change rooms, lunch room, & great day lodge services.
