I’ve just added 10 more excellent photos to the Emerald Lake Lodge contest. You’ve only got ’til tomorrow(Monday) at 11:59 pm to get your entry in.

Feedback

A question for which I’d like some feedback: Would you like to see a new page added to the blog entitled : Reports from Groomers or do you prefer to leave the Tracksetters/Groomers reports as is, that is, on the Trip Reports page?

The reports which come straight from John at Lake Louise/Yoho, Jeff at Ribbon creek, and Jody in PLPP are invaluable contributions and I’d like to know how you wish to access them.

This would also include any other grooming reports such as from the city golf courses and Banff.

I’ve added a sample page to the Main Menu to show how it would work.

  1. TOO MANY CLICKS
While this would appear to be a good idea, I think it adds excess complexity.
Grooming reports should end up under Trail Reports. Some groomers do not have the interest or ability to submit reports through their official channels. If they are willing to report directly to give us current information quickly, then I think it is easiest for us to find all current reports under Trip Reports.
My two bits for one stop shopping!

  2. Giving the groomers their own heading is a great idea!
Who better then the hardworking people who make these great trails for us!

  3. Great idea. Triple thumbs up, Bob!

  4. I like the idea as noted by Nancy above.

  5. I think a special page for groomers reports is an excellent addition. The information the provide is extremely useful and timely, since they often groom after many of us have left the trails. Hopefully the West Bragg Creek and Calgary groomers will also add their input!

  6. Really nice the way you have it right now. Thank you!!!

  7. A separate area would be great!

  8. Excellent idea. I love it. Get right to the latest reports without having to navigate.
