The most popular photo

I’m always surprised when I see which photos get the most clicks. After adding more than a thousand photos over the past winter, it was the “Biker on Elk pass.”

I’ve submitted the photo to the Rocky Mountain Outlook’s photo contest and I hope you’ll vote for me Photo contest favourite.

I also submitted this “Winter Wonderland” photo to the Places category. It was taken on Elk pass as well…

After the photo of the biker was posted on this blog, I was informed that bikes are not allowed on the ski trails in Kananaskis. More reason to vote for it – you’ll never see such a sight ever again! You can imagine how surprised I was to see a bike coming up the ski trail!!

  1. Maybe I’m a purist but I’m for winter sports in the winter and summer sports in the summer, when I see summer roller cross country skiers, or what ever they are called, go by my driveway I can only think DON’T THESE PEOPLE OWN BICYCLES!!!

..these are my thoughts but to be really honest, each to their own

  2. I don’t think anyone has seen the end of the fat bike on ski trails. With there exploding popularity lately there’s bound to be a lot more of them out there. At least they seem to have less of an impact on the ski trails then some hikers and snowshoers do!

  3. Since the fat bikes are not even supposed to be in Peter Lougheed Provincial Park, I’m afraid I will not vote for it.

    • Hi Helen! I’ve added a disclaimer at the bottom of my post, now I hope you’ll change your mind. 🙂
