Rare sighting of a Pisten-Bully on Tramline at Lake Louise
I’m pretty sure I know where I’ll be tomorrow. The Banff trail report indicates that Goat creek was trackset today. If memory serves me, we had about a one-week window where conditions
were good in early December, then the meltdown / needlemania / ice storm came.
The forecast is calling for 2 cm of snow tonight, so I’m encouraging you to arrive at Goat creek early and enjoy that fresh snow.

It’s been a blustery day in Canmore with snow, blowing snow, and a temperature hovering around -14°C. I imagine the only people skiing today are Chuck, and maybe Helen.
From the looks of the forecast, the snowfall is almost over. I got about 5 – 6 cm here in Canmore, but I heard Calgary received over 10 cm. Hopefully that will translate into some golf course skiing and improved conditions at West Bragg Creek.

Many skiers have experienced the frustration of having glide wax which was too slow during very cold weather, with the feeling that you were skiing on sandpaper.
