Feb 2015We’ve booked our annual stay at Emerald Lake Lodge at their special rate for ski club members, and it looks like conditions are improving in Yoho and Emerald Lake. This is the latest update from the Kicking Horse Ski Club:

Skiing at Cypress Hills

When it was first developed and they started grooming the trails with a snowcat(Jeff’s old Pisten-Bully), I wanted to see the Spring Creek xc trail system in Cypress Hills. I enjoyed participating in their first annual loppet two years ago.

I posted two updates about the area Cypress Hills XC ski trails and More photos

I received this email today from Chris Dodds:

I know the sign says finish, but this is actually the start of the 17.5K. There was a classic category and skating category.

I know the sign says finish, but this is actually the start of the Frozen Fescue loppet in Cypress Hills.

Hi Folks,

We have snow again and more in the forecast! The 3rd annual Frozen Fescue loppet is approaching quick and is sure to be the biggest and best one yet.  The date this year is February 28th and registration is open. If you know of anyone interested in participating in this fun cross country ski event please forward on this email.

Thanks,
Chris Dodds
