A warm and wonderful addition to the Canmore Nordic Centre

-Canmore Nordic Centre warming hut is under construction-

From the Nordic Centre daylodge it’s a 2.6K ski to the new warming hut(under construction) with a net elevation gain of 35 metres.

The hut is less than 100 metres from the junction of the upper and lower sections of the Banff trail loop. It’s in a stunning location in the mine meadow, and the huge windows look out onto Rundle mountain.

While biking to the new warming hut today, I passed the hibernating frozen thunder which is covered with sawdust. The ski season will get underway on Oct 23 with the much-anticipated opening of Frozen Thunder at CNC.
