Snowy Alberta winter predicted

“Cold and very snowy,” said Peter Geiger, editor of the Farmers’ Almanac and the Canadian Farmers’ Almanac.

“We think that the precipitation is going to be above average, or at least the snowfall.”

  1. I heard Dave Philips say that it would be milder than average across the country. I hope that means lots of snow for you.

    BTW, I finally figured out how to always pick up the correct left or right ski / walking pole without worry that you’ve got the left pole in your right hand and vice versa.
    What I do is as follows. I throw the poles down. This must be done with emphasis! I then pick them up without looking. I then switch the poles between left and right hands. So far this has given me a 100% success rate, after so much frustration in the past -) I hope this helps everyone this season.

  2. Almost any winter would beat last year! I think we had a 2 week window where conditions were good.
