The descriptive words I’ve used in the titles of my blog updates tell the story: “Exceptional, outstanding, fantastic, great, best ever, perfect.”

Not only did the ski trails have a wonderful month with plentiful snow, but my blog readership in November was up 63% compared to last year. My statistics show 132, 584 unique visits in November.

Jan 2015 still holds the record with 133,797 visits. We came close.

Looking at the terms people use to search, I found these interesting:

  • “Ski there”
  • “Is there snow in Canmore right now”
  • “Are dogs permitted on the ski slopes in Bavaria”
  • “Ski waxing in Okotoks”

I didn’t ski anywhere today, but I see we had trip reports from PLPP, Cascade valley, Baker creek/Castle junction, and Canmore Nordic Centre. There’s no appreciable snow in the forecast, but the trails should stay reasonably good with the cool temperatures.

Nice to see more grooming activity in Banff National Park.  I hope we’ll get a trip report from Healy creek and Brewster creek tomorrow.

  1. Thank goodness for your “Ski Here” blog. The most reliable resource we count on for accurate information on ski conditions. We met you on Whiskey Jack in March 2015. Looking forward to a week in Canmore this month. Heres hoping the snow will last all winter and spring. 🙂 Joanne & Al from Regina.
