Wednesday morning update

Just a reminder, if you have items on the Gear Swap page which have sold, either leave a comment below your original comment saying they’re sold, or send me an email and I’ll mark them sold.

I never dreamed the Gear Swap page would end up being so popular. It seems there’s quite a need for gear kids’ gear.

Backcountry skiers take note: Sunday Jan 17 is Alberta Parks’ Avalanche Awareness Day.

More tracksetting occurred in PLPP last night including Wheeler, Amos, Wolley, Meadow. Along with Lodgepole and Braille which were trackset Monday night, these are probably the easier trails in PLPP now that Pocaterra is an intermediate difficulty trail.

The Banff-Lake Louise trail report indicates that Moraine Lake road and the Great Divide were trackset yesterday, and the Pipestone trails and Bow River loop were done on Monday. If you’re looking for an easy trail, the Great Divide is the best there is for beginner and novice skiers.

Also at Lake Louise, Upper Telemark and Peyto were trackset by Chateau tracksetter Jeff Douglas. You could start at the trailhead behind Deer Lodge and ski right down to the Great Divide on new tracks.

Has anyone been to the Bill Milne or Kananaskis village trails recently? I’m wondering if the warm weather has impacted them yet.
