West Bragg Creek update

This report comes from Groomer Jeff at West Bragg Creek:

Hello All,
West Bragg Creek has received about 5 cm overnight.
The following trails have been Groomed and Track set and are in good condition:
East Crystal, Lower and Middle West Crystal and Links, Sundog, Hostel Meadow, and Loggers.

Trails in fair condition:
Elbow North ( Watch for ice flows ), Iron Springs

Trails not recommended for skiing at present due to lack of base are:
Mountain Road, Mountain View, Mountain View West, Chickadee, Hostel Loop

The forecast is for much more snow, so we will keep you posted with updates as conditions change. Happy skiing!

Snowfall warningfor Banff, Canmore, Kananaskis, Bragg Creek

Environment Canada has issued the following snowfall warning:

Issued at 15:01 Saturday 04 February 2017

Snowfall, with total amounts of 15 to 25 cm is expected.

Due to a continuous stream of Pacific moisture from a low near the southern BC coast, snow will continue to fall across southern Alberta throughout the weekend. Heavier accumulations of snow are expected to fall overnight tonight and throughout Sunday, with 10 to 20 centimetres possible from highway 93 to Kananaskis, Brooks and Medicine Hat. This warning may be extended to the Lethbridge region later in the weekend.
