Friday morning update

“Skier Bob’s long lost tropical cousin.” Christine’s entry in the Emerald Lake Lodge contest.

The above photo is Christine’s entry in the Emerald Lake Lodge contest. The deadline for entries is approaching quickly, so get your entry in. I enjoy looking at all the interesting photos and reading the comments. Dec 24 at 11:59 pm is the deadline.

Lots of activity at Pocaterra yesterday

More new grooming and tracksetting in PLPP last night including Whiskey Jack, Upper Pocaterra, Wheeler, and Packers. Descending Packers in the early season is a bit sketchy. It’s better to be climbing it until there’s more snow to smooth out the bumps and ridges.

With yesterday’s new snow, lots of grooming(not tracksetting) occurred at the Canmore Nordic Centre between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. this morning. As always, check the Live Grooming Reports for details. The CNC’s trail report also has good information.

  1. We skiied to Cascade bridge today, the snow on the trail and trees was really nice. The trail was skier groomed. The uphill track being faster than the downhill track today. Should be really nice all weekend.

  2. I just check live grooming for Sandy McNabb. Fenceline, Logger’s Loop, Logger’s Connector, Meadow Link, Meadow Loop, Sandy McNabb Loop & Connector have been groomed 🙂 Maybe I’ll see Sheila out there this weekend.
