The weather looks just about perfect with some additional snow before the weekend and a high on Saturday of -7. Trail conditions are reported to be excellent.

On January 27 and 28, Nipika Mountain Resort and Toby Creek Nordic Club team up to host a great weekend of cross-country ski racing.

Classic races are held on Saturday, Jan. 27 and include 1.5, 3, 7.5, 15 and 30km distance options. The 15km race is on a double tracked groomed course, and the 30km racers will ski a second loop.
The skate races on Sunday, Jan. 28 include 1.5, 3, 7.5, 10 and 20km options. The 10km race is on a skate ski only groomed course with the 20km racers skiing it twice.
Races start at 11am and will go off in waves within 15 minutes of start time.
After the excitement, a BBQ and awards ceremony will be held at the day lodge.
