The Kananaskis Village and Ribbon Creek trails have already been groomed this morning. The Pisten-Bully is presently going up Ruthie’s. The trails have received 10 cm of new snow.
Lots of grooming occurred in the north end of PLPP last night but it’s going to have some fresh snow on top…
“Light snow fell continuously overnight on Friday and with the snow still falling at 6:30AM there has been an overnight accumulation of less than 5 cm’s in the north end of the Park, and less than 10cm’s total accumulation since the snow began on Thursday evening, though more snow has fallen further south and at higher elevations.”
Most of the trails at the Canmore Nordic Centre have been groomed overnight.
The trails at West Bragg Creek were groomed yesterday and they are back at it again today so expect to see equipment on the trails. As WBCTA Groomer Jeff remarked last night…
“I would expect that most of the tracks will be obliterated by new snow within the next 12 hrs, so we’ll start the process all over again.”
I’ve received 7 cm of snow at the SkierBob world headquarters in Canmore since the snow began yesterday. Temperature is -9°C and it’s still snowing.
