Update: I’m happy to report the skis have been found. Joanne sent this photo of the skis in the ski rack at West Bragg Creek. What perplexes me is the other set of skis with no bindings.
Snow update: At 6:30 pm, I have about 3 cm of snow in Calgary. On the Facebook page “Bow Valley Road Conditions” people are reporting very slippery roads from Dead Man’s Flats to Calgary. Some of the comments…
- “Slippery and gross. Avoid if you can!”
- “White knuckle driving”
Apparently an accident on eastbound TCH near Dead Man’s has brought traffic to a standstill.

The Lake Louise to Banff Loppet sold out after one hour. I had no doubt it would still be popular despite the new configuration.
In the last two days we’ve found the owner of a wedding ring and a pair of sunglasses. I hope we can help Dini find these skis.
“Hi Bob!
I don’t know if you can help us.
We left a pair of classic XC skiis in the West Bragg Creek parking lot, near the warming shed last Saturday, Nov. 24.
They were Madshus fishscale bottom, metal edged, Rotterfella bindings. Approximately 205cm
I contacted the Bragg Creek volunteer info, they did not see them. I went out on Tuesday and put up a notice of lost skis.
Can you help us? I know it is a long shot. Do you have any other advice?” -Dini
If you have any advice or clues as to the whereabouts of these skis, contact me and I’ll put you in touch with Dini. bobtruman@shaw.ca
