New snow!

Snow in Calgary

I’ve received 4 cm of light, fluffy snow in Calgary. It will compress to a few mm, but any amount is very welcome at this stage.

I checked the webcams late this afternoon and it looked like it snowed west of Banff but not much east of Banff. Chris and Karl’s trip report confirmed it. It was snowing as they were driving between Field and Banff townsite.

The webcam didn’t show much new snow in the parking lot at West Bragg Creek.

Although still five days away, it looks like some snow is coming next week.

The Bill Milne trail, Wedge Connector, and Evan-Thomas are being groomed and trackset this evening.

Just a reminder, if you’re skiing Bill Milne, you can avoid the crowds at Ribbon Creek by parking at the Kovach pond or the golf course.
