Friday morning update

The above image is from the first West Bragg Creek brochure I was given when I was a beginner skier back in 1998. WBC has added about 20 km to the original 45 km since this brochure was printed. I dearly miss those 36 km of trails in the Smith-Dorrien.

Feb 4 Tracksetting

Yoho: “Emerald got groomed and tracked today. There was tons of snow in that valley. The Connector and Tally-Ho are done also. Enjoy!”

Ribbon Creek, Coal Mine, and a few other area trails groomed and widened. Great conditions.”

Mt Shark: Watridge Lake road to the lake, Blue Loop, Helipad and segments of both the Red/Black-5km loop & Red/Purple 5km loop also done.

Lake Louise: The Pipestone trails, Fairview, Lake surface, Bow River Loop, Campground, and Townsite.

Cascade Valley and Upper Bankhead. Trackset all the way to the end.

Sandy McNabb: According to the trip report from Rich V,  “Sandy McNabb was groomed today. Long Prairie Loop is fair but the dogs, hikers, and horses are already chewing up the thin snow on the west side of the loop. The south side trails were very good and the place to be. Smooth corduroy mostly skier track set made for enjoyable skiing.”

Take note of the following announcement from Kananaskis Public Safety if you’re planning a trip to Goat Creek or Mt Shark…
