Recent trip reports which described Lake Louise as a winter wonderland weren’t exaggerating. They received even more snow overnight.
-Tina, Lori, and Dave on Moraine Lake road- The snow is slow in coming this winter, but at least we are fortunate to have excellent early snow at Lake Louise.

After a busy holiday weekend I didn’t have high expectations for Moraine Lake road but to my surprise the ski conditions were wonderful.

Update 9 pm: According to late-day skiers Barb and Chris, the Great Divide was in the process of being trackset, and Moraine Lake road is scheduled for tracksetting Saturday a.m.

Everybody I met on the trail today was thrilled with the skiing conditions on Moraine Lake road. No tracks yet, but nobody’s too fussy at this time of year.
