Join the fun!
We have a recreational ski trip planned for Saturday Nov 21(K-Country) for all-levels of ability including novices, and on Sunday Nov 22( Elk Pass) for intermediate skiers. I’ll be scouting around on Friday to find trails which are appropriate for the Saturday trip. Possibilities include Pocaterra or Wheeler.
Cross-country skiers in Kananaskis Country
We are co-ordinating these trips through the Calgary Ski Club, but you don’t have to be a ski club member to join us. You’re invited to come on a couple trips and try it out first. I’d like to extend a special invitation to all skiers who are new to the area, and need a little guidance on finding your way to the best trails.
I just received an email from Beth regarding Pocaterra:
Hi Bob,
Love the blog. If we’d read it before going out on Sunday, we might have tried Chester Lake. As it was, Pocaterra was decent with an amazing amount of early snow. Lots of trails were trackset and even those that weren’t were in good (but not great) shape. I think we only saw one other person on the trails. Even though the conditions weren’t as “epic” as other spots, it was a ton of fun!
Looking forward to reading on a regular basis.
