Lake Louise to Banff
Being held on Sunday, this one is full. They reached their maximum allowable number of skiers almost a week ago, so if you’re one of the 160 privileged lunatics…it looks like it will be pretty cool at 8 a.m. on beautiful Lake Louise. The weather forecast is calling for around -18 in the morning and warming up to -8 as the day goes on with a mixture of sun and cloud. Waxing should be easy.
If you’re up at LL on Saturday and have some time to spare, don’t forget about the Ice Magic Festival. We enjoy viewing the sculptures in the evening, as they are lit up with coloured lights and look spectacular in the dark on the lake.
After viewing the sculptures, Cheryl and I usually go to the Lakeview Lounge in the Chateau for a drink. If you’re around, about 8-9 pm, look us up. We’ll be the ones drinking tea!
