Molly-Jane(second in line) at the starting gate of the Alberta Cup classic race in Canmore. Dec 5, 2010

You may have seen the information back in November regarding the Adopt-a-Skier program. Well, I am extremely pleased to announce that has adopted Molly-Jane Strum.

Cheryl and I watched her perform at the Alberta Cup races in Canmore on the weekend. She finished second in the Sprint final, almost pulling it off at the very end, incredibly exciting to watch.

Training with the Canmore Nordic Ski Club, she is in the midgets age group which is 12-13 year-olds. Last year she won 3 gold medals at the Alberta Winter Games and 3 golds at the North American Midget Championships in Quebec. Something to look forward to, Molly-Jane will be giving us an update once a month on her skiing pursuits.

Let’s wish her all the best!

I want to acknowledge Calgary’s top XC ski shop, Lifesport for partnering with in the Adopt-a-Skier program. Thanks, Norm!
