Happy New Year!

How’s everyone feeling today? You know, skiing with some cold air in your face can help clear your head.

Cheryl and I are in Yoho with limited access to the internet. We spent the last day of 2011 skiing on the Kicking Horse River trail,  with excellent conditions on the trail which was recently trackset. Temperature was -5, but this morning it’s -18, so we’re having a second latte, waiting for it to warm up a bit before heading out.

I realize we’re a day late with the contest draw, but I’ll announce the winner on tonight’s update when I can add some photos.

All the best in 2012 to all cross-country skiers.

  1. HAPPY MMXII to one and all. Skied six of last seven days-today Pipestone and tried out Drummond and Merlin for a change then up to junction and all way down on Pipestone. Minus 16 at start and minus 12 at finish. 30 year old Green -5 to -10 worked great.
