On Facebook, I came across the above photo of a wild wolf that was taken in December by Brandon T Brown of WildCanadaPhoto.com.
Nipika trails are in good condition
The wildlife cameras have recently captured images of wolves and cougars at Nipika Mountain Resort, but yesterday two cougars were seen by human eyes. Nipika posts regular updates on wildlife sightings on their Facebook page.

Cougar Warning
A cougar warning was posted today on the Kananaskis trail reports website:
The Ribbon Creek/Skogan Trails Network: A cougar warning is now in place on this trails network.
The warning extends from the Kananaskis River west to the Skogan Pass trail and south to Ribbon Creek Day Use area and Parking Lot.
The warning area specifically includes these trails: Stoney, Ruthies, Troll Falls, the lower reaches of Skogan Pass, Hay Meadow and Ribbon Creek, but caution is warranted on all trails in this region at this time.
