I also hope that Jody is doing his usual Saturday night gig in PLPP. Some grooming was completed Friday night, but I didn’t hear if there was any new snow on top of it today. Guess I’ll find out tomorrow. I’m hoping to have new tracks for my climb up Whiskey Jack.
I would encourage everyone who wants to use waxable skis to get out there early, as the forecast is calling for a high of +10, and the coming week doesn’t look too promising. Tomorrow morning might be one of the last times we get to ski on cold snow. It’s supposed to go down to -8 tonight. PLPP will only be grooming until April 6. Of course, that’s also contingent on the weather being cold enough.
Got home to Canmore and was greeted by about 10 cm of new snow on my driveway. That must have been why Yvon had such a good day at the Nordic Centre.
Wonderful trip reports coming in tonight, thanks everyone! Even if you’re not a snowshoer, it’s worth reading RichieRich’s report from Chester Lake today. You’ll probably catch yourself smiling(maybe even grinning or laughing).
