Let’s try to find Alecia’s skis for her. It sounds like she’s already in enough pain without losing her skis, too. She sent this email:
Hey there,
Sunday Nov 25th, my family and I went skiing close to the Lake Louise Chateau (the upper lake louise area) .. we were at the turn off just before driving up to the hotel. We turned
off the main trail (6) onto trail 8.. about a few km down the trail I lost control on a hill and ended up twisting my knee pretty bad.(ended up being a torn acl/meniscus/cartilage) It was getting close to dark and I could barely walk.. nevermind ski.. so I had to leave my skis behind to use full support of my poles to walk out.

I was wondering if you could possibly put it out there about the lost skis on trail 8.. it would be great to get them back. They are silver/white/black– Fischer brand .. they say fibercrown on them.. 202/N36 ..
Thanks so much for your help.
Alecia
I don’t know which trail is Trail 8. That might help pinpoint it better if we had the name of the trail.
Barbara is correct in ID’ing the trails. We skied newly groomed and trackset Lower Telemark on Tuesday am, first thing out, but saw no skis. The skis may have been collected by the trail grooming crews.
Suggest Alecia you contact the Lake Louise Information Centre Parks Canada: 403.522.3833 or Banff/Lake Louise Tourism: 403.762.8421 to enquire.
According to the Lake Louise Cross Country Ski Trails map, trail 6 is the Great Divide and trail 8 is Lower Telemark. See map here: http://www.pc.gc.ca/pn-np/ab/banff/activ/activ21/b.aspx
The groomer from the Chateau went out and found the skis and will return them to her.
