Trail marker missing on Highline Trail(and bear warning)

This is the sign which has gone missing from the top of the east connector.

The Highline trail at Canmore has become very popular with bikers and hikers. For those who are familiar with it, this won’t be a problem, but if you’re doing it for the first time, it could be an issue.

This hoe is where the sign used to be

The trail marker at the top of the east connector has disappeared. Someone has replaced it with a hoe. The photo at the top is the sign which used to be there.

I can only speculate on why someone would be carrying a hoe in their backpack.

In addition, there’s presently a bear warning in effect for the Highline trail.
