It’s been a while…

Finally we are seeing some snow in the forecast. Small amounts are predicted for today, but the “long ranger” shows much more for next week. The Ventusky interactive map predicts 32 cm in Yoho by Wednesday.

It’s not just Yoho who will be getting this snow, but pretty well everywhere in the mountains with PLPP on tap for significant amounts as well. If this materializes, Pocaterra will be skiable again.

  1. Golden Nordic has been grooming new snow, and we have about 20k of trails set for classic and skating and in very good condition, despite the lower than average snowpack! Check out Dawn Mt. at Kicking Horse Mt. resort if you haven’t been here: fluffy snow -8C.
6cm today and more is forecast. Tomorrow we celebrate with free skiing and rentals for the first 100 skiers.

  2. Nipika forecasted? Anyone hear? The last news I learned was not positive. Hoping for tracksetting by the holidays.
