The above photo was provided last winter by Rhonda W, so I don’t know if it still looks the same, but from the reports which came in today it sounds like Maple Ridge Golf Course is in primo condition.
Jane discovered a new ski area today, Priddis Greens Golf Course. Here’s Jane’s report:
“Priddis Greens Golf Course X-Country trails:
The golf club is happy for the public to use the set trails, there is also a skating pond, note: you use their facility at your own risk. Check their web site where there is a link to a map: Priddis Greens
The trails were in pretty good shape, (do not expect CNC grooming), I tried almost everything but I particularly enjoyed the blue loop. It was sunny and warm today so I used a -2/+2 wax, a few wet tree bombs have come down and the snow beneath these trees is a little icy. I spotted white tailed deer and snow fleas too.”
Skogan Pass is being groomed as I write this at 6 pm. You can follow along on the Ribbon Creek Live Grooming Report.
The Pipestone trails at Lake Louise were trackset today along with the Bow River and Campground loop. All these trails are dog-friendly. Check the Groomer’s Reports for an update of the trails around the Chateau.
“Nipika is certainly a wonderful place to spend the day and the fun isn’t limited to XC.” -Chip
The Nipika Mountain Resort’s trail report indicates excellent conditions and that was confirmed by Chip’s trip report today. Nipika also informed me they still have some room in their Ski Week event. Loppet season will soon be upon us and the first one on the schedule is the Nipika Loppet on Jan 27, 28.
Maple Ridge is indeed in great shape and I have photos from there this week up on my blog in a recent post. It is a wonderful, large loop, and we had heaps of fun there on Wednesday this week. The roller packer was making its rounds we we arrived and it set track halfway through our ski (The City website says it is “normally” groomed on Tuesdays, but I think they were a day behind due to the holiday Monday.)
