There comes a time each winter when you can go just about anywhere and expect good conditions, and it’s a double bonus when the weather is pleasant.
It looks like the perfect combination of circumstances and events will create a week(or more) of excellent skiing. We’ve got the snow and most trails have been recently trackset. The warmer weather is arriving tomorrow and will be in the single minus digits for most of the week, but still in blue wax territory.
For Calgarians who want to ski without the long drive, West Bragg Creek is in its best shape of the winter. There’s also the city golf courses, and Strathmore.
Tomorrow, for Family Day, the Canmore Nordic Centre is offering free skiing to everyone 17 years of age and younger.
Thank you to all the brave souls who weathered the storm over the past two weeks and submitted trip reports.
It looks like conditions will be excellent for the Cookie Race this Saturday in PLPP.
Hi there
It may be a good idea to make people aware of the cookie race on Sat. over 500 competitors, so may not be the best day to go to PLPP. thanks jill
Good idea, and that’s why I already did. I’ll be mentioning it again as we get closer to the date. -Bob
