Thanks to West Bragg Creek Groomer Jeff for the photo and the following report Updated Sat Feb 16 @ 1:37 pm:

“Snow continues to fall as I type this report.

West Bragg received about 5 cm of snow overnight enabling the grooming crew to double track set all trails with the exception of Telephone and Iron Springs. Iron Springs is single track set only. Conditions are very good, albeit soft, considering the snow has not had a chance to set up before skiers arrived this morning. It should be an excellent weekend of skiing. Enjoy!”

Last night’s grooming in PLPP

PLPP: Lots of tracksetting occurred last night in the north end of Peter Lougheed Provincial Park. The trail report mentions…

Light snow fell throughout the Friday night grooming shift with about 2cm’s of fresh snow having accumulated on the earliest grooming as of 3AM.”

Canmore Nordic Centre: A significant amount of tracksetting occurred this morning on the natural snow trails. Check the Live Grooming Report for details. Kit Richmond sent an email saying he observed 2-5 cm of new snow yesterday at CNC.

Canmore Nordic Centre will be offering a Family Day only special on Monday, Feb. 18thAll kids and juniors (17 years of age and younger) will be able to ski for FREE!

Brewster Creek in Banff National Park was trackset yesterday.

The Pipestone trails at Lake Louise were trackset yesterday.

For my readers in Medicine Hat and the southeast corner of the province, The Spring Creek trails in Cypress Hills were trackset yesterday, and a lot of other grooming was completed as well.

I received about 5 cm of snow overnight in Calgary. Forecasts are calling for more snow throughout the day.
