They have been battling strong winds and drifting snow at Strathmore. Ed Meyer sent this update and the photos yesterday…
“We had a lot of wind out here. Things are in a bit of disarray.
We have great snow coverage for the most part. There are a few spots that are blown out but passable. I spent the day knocking down drifts with the snowcat. The skate lane needs to be widened which I should get to on Friday. We have a pretty good trackset going for the week. The wind is supposed to subside this weekend I will go back over everything at that point.”
Trails in the Ribbon Creek area are being groomed this morning. You can follow the snowcat on the Live Grooming Report. Hay Meadow and Ruthie’s are groomed, and looks like he’s heading up Skogan Pass.
Deadline to register for the Cookie Race is tomorrow(Wednesday) at 9:30 pm.
When I went outside to walk Tessa this morning, it was -6°C and felt like summer!
I know your battles against the weather… unfortunately I haven’t made it out yet but THANK YOU so much appreciate your hard work.. hoping to make it very soon!.
