This is from yesterday’s Live Grooming Report from West Bragg Creek:
“5cm of new snow has fallen in the last 24 hrs and the crew of Dan, Bill, Dave and Jeff were able to double track set and groom all trails with the exception of Telephone and Iron Springs. Iron Springs did get one set of tracks and Telephone will likely be groomed shortly. Conditions are quite good, albeit somewhat soft as the snow had not had a chance to set up before the early birds got out this morning.”
Telephone trail at WBC is reported as skier-set. Thanks to Mike W for clarifying that info.
Other grooming and tracksetting completed yesterday:
Confederation Golf Course:
“Our awesome volunteer groomers roller packed all trails this morning. They attempted to set tracks, but blowing snow filled them in almost immediately. Coverage is excellent!”
PLPP: Whiskey Jack, Packers, Upper Pocaterra, and Wheeler.
Banff: Goat Creek and Spray River
Lake Louise: Moraine Lake road and the Great Divide
Canmore Nordic Centre will be offering a Family Day only special on Monday, Feb. 18th. All kids and juniors (17 years of age and younger) will be able to ski for FREE!
See Nancy’s trip report from yesterday. Nakiska also reported some fresh snow overnight and trails have probably been getting skied in and/or perhaps blown in a bit in open areas. If breaking trail in fresh snow isn’t your thing, go late instead of early. Village trails are probably getting skied more so that’s always an option.
Has anyone been out to ski wedge pond area today? Wondering if the new snow over the last couples days has covered their tracksetting from the 14th or if it is still good. Thanks!
