Comments on Saturday’s skiing

As you know, I’m heading to Mt. Shark today and will give a report later tonight.

We would also like to hear from anyone who was in Kananaskis(PLPP )or Lake Louise. I’m particularly interested in conditions on Whiskey Jack as we may be starting there tomorrow.

5 Comments:

  1. Ski toured up to Chester Lake yesterday (Saturday). Snowed much of the day, trail conditions were great. Waxing was a little tricky with the fresh snow and relatively mild temps.

  2. Lake Louise: another boring day in paradise. 3-5 cm new snow overnight on Moraine Lake Road. No recent grooming, but enough classic skiers to maintain good track. Few skaters. Heavy snowfall for short time around 1 pm. 1A in the afternoon: soft & fluffy, a hard slog skating. Quite warm, -3 at the Hostel at lunch.

  3. Thanks for the comments! -Bob

  4. skied 1-a at lk.louise today, great condition, some new snow, 3-5 cm, or so, so nice soft, easy new snow wax, I used swix 0 degree violet and had great kick and glide
    cheers brian

  5. Skied from Boulton Creek through Fox Creek, Elk pass, Tyrwhitt and down Whiskey Jack. All excellent, more snow coming down as we left.
