I went back to the Kananaskis Village trails today with Tessa and Christine, only to find 4 cm of fresh snow over yesterday’s grooming. At least that’s better than pine needles and debris, which I was concerned about when I left here yesterday with a strong wind blowing. The temp at the Village was -1 today.
Arriving at 1 pm, it’s amazing how busy Terrace trail had already been with skiers, hikers, and snowshoers as you can see by all the tracks in the new snow.
All trails were still very enjoyable, if a little slower than yesterday. It appeared that Jeff was grooming the north trails, as I could see new corduroy going up Hidden trail.
We stopped by the Ribbon Creek Deli at the Village to have some of their delicious soup, and were surprised and disappointed to see this notice on the door:
Should be some good skiing on all these trails this weekend if we don’t get another big dump of snow.

Does anyone know what this translates to?
??? ??
It was used as a search term, and my blog came up in the results.
According to this online source, the text is Arabic for “Ski Free”… http://translate.reference.com/translate?query=%D8%B3%D9%83%D9%8A+%D8%AD%D8%B1&src=ar&dst=en&v=1.0
