The new snow combined with cool temperatures will give xc skiers some great conditions wherever grooming has occurred. Jeff is presently tracksetting the Kananaskis village, Ribbon creek, and Skogan pass trails as I write this at 6:15 pm. He sent the above photo at 5:55 pm fromthe snowcat as he was doing Sunburst. He also added, “Over 25cm of cold snow up here!”
Mount Shark was groomed last night. Canmore Nordic Centre was groomed this morning. Many trails at Lake Louise have been done including Moraine Lake road and Great Divide. As Chuck will attest from his Cascade trip, you don’t even need fresh grooming to have an enjoyable outing. Check the Live Grooming Report in the morning to see what was done in PLPP.
With the longer days you might even want to go as far as Yoho. The trail report says, “March 19 – Emerald Connector, Emerald Lake Horse Trail and Alluvial Fan Loop, Loop on the Lake, Peaceful Pond, Lakeshore trail, Kicking Horse Trail, Tally-Ho.”
The forecast high for the mountains is -6°C on Saturday after a low of -15 tonight. This might be the last blue-wax weekend of xc skiing this winter, so get out there and enjoy it!
Season-end Ski sale

Had a FANTASTIC ski up to Lookout today. Thanks for your hard work, Jeff. Tracks were a bit icy at lower elevations, but higher up they were excellent.
