Friday trip report from Lake Louise

I just saw that you are looking for a trail report from Lake Louise today! Brian and I headed out there around 10:30-1:45 today for a distance classic ski. No tracks were set but the ski tracks that were skied in were sufficient for a fun workout and adventure to the top. We were able to kick most of the way up on Toko Red kick wax thanks to the shade and cooler snow. The sunny sections were slick and some pavement was starting to show through on the turns down low and at the highest (and sunniest) part up above.

The snow is deep and plentiful up top but a few people had walked down the tracks making the striding a little bit more challenging. The  return trip was a little trickier with the warming temps and some wobbly tracks!!!

All in all a worthwhile excursion but it would be great to have some grooming soon 🙂
