Alf raised a good point with his comment about the llama sign at the Goat Creek trailhead.
Thanks to Chuck for the photos and trip report, and for asking the hikers to stay out of the tracks. By the way, Chuck has skied 86K in the last two days. What will he be doing tomorrow?
You can see all of Chuck’s photos of Goat Creek.
I was happy to hear from Paul Shippy at Sundre about the success he had in selling the wooden skis:
“Within 24 hours I had sold 15 pairs of skis and had more inquiries than I had stock. My message reached a huge community of people very quickly and support flooded in from everywhere, even my own small community but through this far-reaching channel!”
Think we have to assume it’s a dog, would not want to take a chance of incurring a $25,000 fine, I do wonder if that amount has ever been collected!
Now that is an silhouette worth considering: an alpaca came to mind as closer to dog size -or maybe it’s lesser appreciated Huarizo? Either way, a camelid, not a k9 …which maybe would have been safer to harnes as just experienced an “unintended” skijoring mishap that has sidelined my ski ambitions for the next 6 weeks (…spare shoulder anyone?). Happy trails folks.
