It snowed

An amazing amount of snow fell today at West Bragg Creek. Alf Skrastins gave this update…

“It was a powder day at West Bragg Creek. By late afternoon, about 25cm of light, fluffy snow had fallen and it was all a winter wonderland. We took advantage of the untracked snow to ski trails that are usually busy with snowshoers, fat-bikers, hikers and trail runners. The tour included Snowy Owl, Strange Brew, Elbow, Sundog and Ranger Summit. The ski trails were being roller-packed all day by the grooming team. With this amount of snow, on a great base and below zero temperatures, ski conditions should be great for at least 2 weeks.”

Confederation Golf Course Grooming Update has been posted:

“With the higher than expected snowfall amount last night and this morning the grooming team took advantage and went out today and re-groomed all the trails and driving range so that skiing could resume as soon as possible. Trails are in much better shape now but still a few bare spots so use caution. Only two tracks set in driving range where the snow farming was done last night. Not enough snow elsewhere yet. Reminder that parking lot gate won’t be open until next week but the left gate is slightly open for walk-ins. Beware of ice just below the surface of the snow.”

One Comment:

  1. New snow total at West Bragg Creek is now about 40 cm, and still snowing. Expect soft conditions, or deep trail breaking, if you want to explore any of the snowshoe or all-season trails.
