Great views on Wasootch ridge
Hiked Wasootch Ridge Saturday. The parking lot was full, but most people were climbing on the slabs. The trail along the ridge was in very good shape, with negligible evidence of any damage from the June flooding.

While hiking along the ridge we had lots of good views of Wasootch Creek, which quite obviously had been affected by the flood. With a mix of sun and cloud, and warm temperatures, it was a great day for a hike, and the views from the peak at the east end of the ridge were very good.

We brought six newcomers to the peak, and while several were nervous on the loose rocks/scree near the end, they all made it and gained increased confidence from their accomplishment.
I appreciate Ray’s hiking report, but I’m looking forward with even more anticipation to his regular updates during ski season.
