One last day on waxable skis?

It’s going to be cold tonight with a low of -12°C while Jody is grooming Whiskey jack, Pocaterra, and Packers(if all goes according to plan). The forecast high for tomorrow is +5, but I’m going to break with tradition and get out there early.

At Lake Louise, the Pipestone trails were groomed today. MLR and Great Divide were done on Thursday and Friday. The low at LL tonight is -14 and a high of +2 tomorrow.

The photo at the side is from yesterday(Friday) when Susanne was skiing on Fox creek and Moraine. I imagine there is even more new snow on those trails by now.

  1. Yes! Good idea to get out to the Peter Lougheed Park trails early on Sunday!
The area got 15-23cm of fresh, cold snow Friday night/Saturday, so all of Thursday/Fridays grooming was covered with a lot of new snow. The good news is that it stayed below -2C on Saturday, so it was like mid-winter conditions.
The fresh grooming on Whiskey Jack/Pocaterra/Packers as well as Come Along/Lynx should be excellent, until it starts melting in the middle of the day.
